Doelgroep
Voor logopedisten/zangcoaches die reeds ervaring hebben in de manuele facilitatie van de larynx en een speciale interesse in dysfonie, dysfagie, pijn en een teveel aan spierspanning in het algemeen. Bruikbaar voor spreek- en zangstem. 
 
Doel
“Advanced myofascial and dermoneuromodulation techniques”
 
Manuele therapie is niet meer weg te denken in de logopedische stem-, adem- en slikpraktijk. Logopedisten gebruiken het alsmaar meer als aanvulling op de oefentherapie. Maar geef toe, het blijft wel altijd een intieme ervaring om het strottenhoofd van je cliënt zomaar aan te raken, zij ervaren dit zelfs soms als eng in het begin.
 
Deze workshop is zeer hands-on (gevorderde manoeuvres) en gaat dieper in op technieken die het bindweefsel en de bezenuwing in de huid (dermo-neuromodulatie) beïnvloeden.
Achterliggende theorieën worden besproken evenals casussen uit Stephens praktijk.
Breng ook zeker je eigen casussen mee.

 
Inhoud:
 - Wetenschappelijk onderbouwde informatie over soorten pijn: nociceptief (lichaam), neuropatisch (zenuwen) en nociplastisch (brein en centraal zenuwstelsel). 
- Diepgang en uitbreiding van de psychologische concepten die behandeld zijn in de basisworkshop.
- Dermoneuromodulatie technieken kunnen ons helpen om het zenuwstelsel af te leiden van pijn en te herprogrammeren op een gezonde manier.
Ze zijn “the way in” als je geen enkele spier kan manipuleren (denk aan patiënten met een larynx die voelt als een blokje beton). 
- We gaan praktijkgericht aan de slag met deze technieken.
- Verdiepende technieken van de reeds aangeleerde handelingen
en combinaties ervan.
- Extra aandacht voor m. epicranius, m. zygomaticus en middelste faryngeale constrictoren.
- Casussen die gelinkt zijn aan “onze” alledaagse logopedische praktijk,
uiteraard gebracht op Stephens typisch humoristische en amusante manier.

For speech therapists/vocal coaches who already have experience in manual facilitation of the larynx and a special interest in dysphonia, dysphagia, pain and excess muscle tension in general. Useful for speaking and singing voice.

Goal of the course
"Advanced myofascial and dermoneuromodulation techniques".

Manual therapy can no longer be ignored in speech, breathing and swallowing practice. Speech therapists use it more and more as an adjunct to exercise therapy. But admit it, touching your client's larynx is always an intimate experience, sometimes even scary at first.

This workshop is very hands-on (advanced manoeuvres) and takes a closer look at techniques that affect the connective tissue and nerve conduction in the skin (dermo-neuromodulation).
Underlying theories will be discussed as well as cases from Stephen's practice.
Feel free to bring your own cases as well.

Content:
- Evidence-based information on types of pain: nociceptive (body), neuropathic (nerves) and nociplastic (brain and central nervous system).
- Depth and extension of the psychological concepts that were covered in the basic workshop.
- Dermoneuromodulation techniques can help us distract the nervous system from pain and reprogramme it in a healthy way.
They are "the way in" when you cannot manipulate any muscle (think of patients with a larynx that feels like a 'block'.
- We will get hands-on with these techniques.
- Deepening techniques of the actions already taught
and combinations of them.
- Additional focus on m. epicranius, m. zygomaticus and middle pharyngeal constrictors.
- Cases linked to "our" everyday speech therapy practice,
naturally brought in Stephen's typically humorous and amusing manner.
